About Me

I completed my third year at Cooper Union and thought it might be fun to venture out to Utah and do some computer vision. So that's what I did. While here I enjoyed mountain climbing, rock climbing, and even tried scaling a building or two. Logan, Utah is a pretty place with a love of sprinklers. There's some nice hikes, like the trail to the windy cavern, and a few mountainside trails for running.

Project

I created an edge detection neural network that trains on human generated base truth cases and produces results that are similar, though superior to an image generated using a Laplacian mask.

I also created an algorithm for edge detection based on using difference equations rather than the typical gradient based edge detection. It produces a thicker edge and is pretty good at ignoring patterns like grass and fur.
