New Freshmen with math assessment

Admissible to the CS pre-professional program, as long as all acceptance criteria is met. |
- A minimum High School GPA of 2.5
- A minimum ACT score of 17 (SAT score of at least 1050),
- A minimum ACT math score of 25
- A minimum 90 Admissions Index score.

New Freshmen without math assessment

Not admissible to CS. |
Students with no math assessment, such as ACT or SAT scores, must take USU's ALEX Math Placement exam to determine math readiness. Students must place into MATH 1050 - College Algebra, at a minimum, to be admitted. Additionally these students must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum high school GPA of 2.5
- A minimum 90 Admissions Index score.

Transfer students with MATH1210 (Calculus I) prerequisites, or higher
|
Admissible to CS pre-professional program, as long as all acceptance criteria is met. |
- Demonstrated completion of MATH1210 - Calculus I prerequisites
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 in all transfer coursework
- A minimum grade of C- in any Math or Computer Science courses that will be used toward a degree in CS at USU
- No more than 3 repeats among any courses that will count toward CS pre-professional requirements.

Transfer students without MATH1210 (Calculus I) prerequisites

Transfer students must be Calculus-ready, as well as meet the following criteria:
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 in all transfer coursework
- A minimum grade of C- in any Math or Computer Science courses that will be used toward a degree in CS at USU
- No more than 3 repeats among any courses that will count toward CS pre-professional requirements.
