  1. Who is my advisor?

    If you are a graduate student, upon admission you will be given an advisor. Email Genie Hanson if you do not know who your advisor is. If you are an undergraduate student, Myra Cook is your advisor.

  2. How can I change advisors?

    Graduate students don't generally change their initial, temporary advisor, until they form their graduate committee. Go here for more information on forming a graduate committee. If you already have a permanent advisor and want to change because you are not making progress, contact the Department Head. Email Genie Hanson if you have additional questions. Undergraduates do not have the option of changing advisors.

  5. Is financial aid available?

    For graduate student financial aid information, go here. Email Genie Hanson if you have additional questions. For undergraduate scholarships through the College of Engineering go here. CS Departmental undergraduate scholarships are advertised through the Department each February. Email Myra Cook for information.   6. Are jobs with the Department available?

  7. Who does what kind of research?

  8. Are research assistantships available?

    Generally, individual professors who have research funds to pay the salaries of research assistants do the hiring of those assistants. It is not a Departmental matter.

  9. When will my grades be posted?

    All grades will be submitted within 96 hours after the final examination for the course.

  10. What are the admission requirements?

  11. If I applied, would I be admitted?

The Department of Computer Science does not prescreen applicants for graduate degree programs. We only evaluate applications that have been forwarded to us from the School of Graduate Studies.
